Our two Korlok rigid core ranges (Korlok Select and Korlok Reserve) have received a third-party verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) that details the ranges’ environmental performance.
“Consumers and specifiers are savvier than ever when it comes to choosing safe products with low environmental impact for their home and commercial projects,” Steve Huth, Technical Supervisor – Claims & Environmental, Karndean Designflooring said. “EPDs provide added peace of mind that our Korlok products can be specified without the worry of negative health or environmental impacts.”
The third party-certified EPD details Korlok’s environmental performance based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a scientific process which examines the environmental impacts associated with all stages of a product’s life from cradle to grave, including: raw material extraction through processing, manufacture, distribution, use, repair/maintenance, to end of life. EPDs are prepared in accordance with international standards.
The full EPD is available here, as well as on the SCS Global Services and mindful MATERIALS websites.
